Convenient set-up at room temperatureAs all Solis BioDyne products are stable at room temperature, reaction set-up does not require ice. This feature is especially valuable for users of high throughput platforms where keeping reaction conditions cold for hours is quite challenging. Using Solis BioDyne Mixes at room temperature will not affect the reaction performance. No loss of activity was detected after the mix was kept at 35°C for a month. Light protective packagingDNA intercalating dye EvaGreen® and reference dye ROX necessary in many qPCR mixes are sensitive to light and therefore require protective shielding. Solis packages all these qPCR mixes in special dark tubes to prevent harm from potential light exposure during transportation and reaction set-up. |

Reactions were performed on an Applied Biosystems 7900HT Real-Time PCR System following cycling protocols recommended by the suppliers.) Higher precision and wider scaleAll qPCR mixes from Solis BioDyne are produced as 5 x mixes that occupy only one fifth of the reaction final volume leaving 2.5 times more room for the template compared to 2 x mixes. This is highly advantageous when making wide-range serial dilutions or in case of gene expression studies where the concentration of the target gene is very low. Using the 5 x mix enables the researcher to add more cDNA to the reaction resulting in better precision and smaller Cycle threshold (Ct) values.
